    What I wanted more of:

    Door knob covers

    Multi-purpose latches

The door knob covers where a bit awkward, though I appreciate that they cover the lock in the middle of the knob, while other door knob covers we looked at did NOT. They are a bit hard to get in place over the knob, and this isn’t my first rodeo – we bought these after our third child was born because our second child is The Hulk and he single-handedly destroyed the previous door knob covers. We used The First Years before and didn’t opt for them again because our son could lock himself in his room or out of the bathroom, etc. They were much easier to get on and off the doors, though.

Multi-purpose latches. We have wrought iron doors over our fireplace. Because of the spacing of the knobs, I had to use both multi-purpose latches to keep the doors closed, so that left none for the rest of the house.

The outlet covers were great, but they are the kind that sit flush against the outlet, so they can be tricky to get out when you actually need to use the outlet. As much as I hate the price, we will most likely be going back to but the bigger, sliding outlet covers for the outlets we use most often. 30 was a good number for our house – our house is older, so we don’t have as many outlets to cover as newer homes. Also, some of our outlets are in weird places – beside light switches – so they are out of reach of the younger two anyway.

Overall, this is a great kit. I think we need two of them to cover our house, but $40.00 isn’t bad; I think it’s still less expensive than buying all the pieces seperately. One thing I would like to see added: cord wrappers for blinds. Those things are really hard to find in a store!

This is a great CHEAP way to cover outlets+cords (must be normal lamp plugs only, NO adapters or oversized plugs (even heavy extension cords). Installation was easy, but I only used these on cords/outlets that are generally left alone. They are very very VERY hard to remove, and if you put one where you need to occasionally plug in the vaccum or a fan, you WILL be sorry. If you keep this in mind though these are perfect. For other installations go with the Safety 1st adapter & plug cover or a plain outlet solution.

We have trouble opening this thing – there’s no way our 15 month old son will ever get into the plugs! Because they’re so difficult to open, I would not put these on any outlets that you use frequently. It’s best for outlets that you plug something into that you never wish to unplug (we use one for our printer & scanner which stay plugged in all the time and one on the outlets for our lamps).

the covers are too thin/narrow and the holes at the bottom for the cord is to small for some plugs.

My little 22 month old had an obsession with plugging and unplugging our power strips. I was glad to finally find this product. It works great and he hasn’t touched the power cords at all since I have installed these. My only complaint is that the hole that the power cord comes through is not very wide. It made it difficult to squeeze my thick power strip cord through. I managed to nonetheless but not without a little bit of pressure. It does its job and I am glad I purchased it.

This thing works but it’s very tricky getting off. If you work it a little you figure out how it will just pop off. Don’t get discouraged like I did. Work it gently and It will come off easy with a little presure. Does not fit a bulky box plug in head only standard ones like a lamp.
